WELCOME TO JOLLY GOOD EXPERIENCES

Sustainable, responsible travel. Photography workshops and tours.

Welcome to Jolly Good Experiences.

We are Andreea and Matt, both professional award winning international photographers and teachers with a passion for travel, culture and photography. We both have Masters degrees in photography and many years of experience, so we are able to help you with any aspect from the beginning of your journey with settings and composition, through to very advanced levels helping you to realise your vision and aspirations with your photography.

We aim to offer a great photographic experience for our clients making the most of the places that we travel to. We also like to sample the culture and food that the destination has to offer, so that you can immerse yourself in every location beyond the photographic experience. Because of these reasons (and because we are jolly good travel companions, and we don’t just say so ourselves) many of our clients travel with us time and again and choose us for their photography holiday.

This in-person event will start at Victoria Station and cover a number of locations and buildings around London. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pro, this workshop is perfect for anyone passionate about photography and London's iconic architecture. Don't miss out on this opportunity to hone your skills and explore the city through a new lens!

Brutalist architecture is an architectural style that emerged during the 1950s in the United Kingdom, among the reconstruction projects of the post-war era. Brutalist buildings are characterised by minimalist constructions that showcase the bare building materials and structural elements over decorative design. The style commonly makes use of exposed, unpainted concrete or brick, angular geometric shapes and a predominantly monchrome colour palette.

Berlin 27 Aug - 1 Sept 2025

Hang out with like-minded people, make new friends and mingle with the locals. Join us on a trip to this unforgettable city.

Berlin is a dynamic and eclectic city, known for its rich history, cultural vibrancy, and modern edge. As the capital of Germany, it’s a place where the past and future coexist in striking ways. Berlin is a city shaped by significant historical events, especially the 20th century. It was at the heart of both World Wars, and its Cold War division into East and West Berlin left lasting marks on the city's architecture and culture. The Berlin Wall, which once physically and ideologically split the city, is now a symbol of resilience and unity. Some remnants of the Wall, like the East Side Gallery, are now open-air art exhibitions. Berlin’s mix of history, creativity, diversity, and progressive ideals makes it one of Europe’s most exciting and unique cities. It’s a place where old and new collide, and where freedom of expression and innovation are celebrated in every corner.

Laos Jan 2026

Laos, a small country nestled in the heart of Southeast Asia, is a photographer's paradise. With its lush jungles, towering waterfalls, and traditional hill-tribe villages, Laos offers a wealth of off-the-beaten-track locations for those looking to capture the country's natural beauty and cultural heritage.

We have tailor-designed an incredible 12-day photography tour with our local partners in Luang Prabang: this includes stunning off-the-beaten track locations in North Laos: Buddhist temples, waterfalls, home stays with local tribes, rice farms, river cruises.
