Photographing London at night is a magical experience—an opportunity to capture the vibrant pulse of one of the world’s most iconic cities when it comes alive in a whole new way. The city’s skyline, landmarks, and streets take on a dramatic character as the lights illuminate everything from historic buildings to modern structures. The play of shadows, reflections, and street lights can transform the familiar into something utterly captivating.
The city's ever-changing skyline, combined with the interplay of light, architecture, and movement, offers endless opportunities for creativity. Whether you're focused on iconic landmarks or the hidden corners of London’s streets, there’s a certain magic in capturing the capital after dark. Every street, every bridge, every glowing sign seems to tell a story, and through the lens of your camera, you have the chance to capture that fleeting beauty in a way that’s uniquely yours.
A break down of the event:
Meet at Westminster station.
A brief introduction session so that everyone can start getting to know each other. From there on, we will take a walk in London and learn to start seeing the world during the dark hours
You will learn how to start using the camera to capture the spirit of the scene and work with exposure to hold the bright lights and darks togther to make the scene as impactful as possible. In addition we will discuss how to make advanced images such as blended exposures and the post processing techniques that go along with them. Whatever your level we can help you learn and improve your images.
The exact route and locations will depend on the weather on the day. We have enough knowledge of London and photography to be able to shoot great night images whatever the conditons.
